Quick discussion - My dad's a 3D Designer for a living, this caused me to learn photoshop and always wanted to learn 3D modeling, aswell. Did anyone ever try converting 3D models to tattoos?

The short stint I done in a shop, I saw one of the artists used zbrush to create 3D models of body parts, then he used photoshop to wrap his designs around the models to show clients. He had a mega underwater leg sleeve and it looked awesome...but no idea how to do it ?‍♂️

I was talking more about 3d modeling your designs, not the body parts they're going to be on ?

Thats superb, love the shading in the icecream, not sure it needed the teeth though. If anyone asks me to do a halloween icecream i might have to swipe your idea and tell em Albert from Louisiana designed it. ;)

First sketch/draft of a design idea popped in my head at work so put it sown real quick, not sure im happy with the line weights, ive never done heavy lines like this before, definitely not happy with the petal shapes, but i havent really drawn anything in a while so with some refurbishing and modification is has potential.

That's what first drafts are for! I usually skip to the chase and just call them brainstorming so nobody gets the wrong idea if they get out. A lot of them can come out looking like a toddler did them. Doesn't matter. Gets the idea out of my head and into the real world.

no doubt, if I didnt get it on paper then it would be lost to the nether at least now I have the base of the idea to rework. I only had a few minutes to get it onto paper because I was at work so I can chew up about 15 minutes without feeling too guilty (it only takes me 6-7 to eat lunch.) and I saw this thread and realized I hadnt shared any of my drawing in any way shape or form on this forum at all. so that was my lunch time quickie.

I got another piece done on my garden sheet. I needed to get some more contrast on those legs, and they could probably be thicker so they don't get lost on skin.

yeah but the open wire, with barb pincers looks really really bad, even as a sketch I just fiddled with the tribal (and I use that term very loosely here) further because it's not horrible alone but over all it's trash another drawing for the banana box of rejects

Yeah, but still better to try ideas than not to. That doesn't mean every effort turns out good. Far from it. But if you never dare trying something you're not sure where it'll take you, you won't progress.

I'd say 9 of 10 ideas ends up crap, at least for me, but that's totally okay ?
