How to Create SPOOKY Tattoo Flash Designs for Halloween

Halloween flash sales are a great way to bring in a bunch of clients and get your name out there. When it comes to Halloween flash, you want to create simple tattoo designs that can be sold for the shop minimum and done quickly.

In this article, we’ll give you some free ideas for Halloween flash that you can use.

  • For drawing practice
  • As a pre-made stencil
  • Inspiration to build your own Halloween designs

Halloween Flash Design Ideas

Simple Three-Pumpkin Design

The main design we’ll work off of for this article is three pumpkins. You’ll start out with some circles, just mapping out your design. Keep your circles kind of small, about the size of a half-dollar.

For Halloween flash sales, you’ll want to stick to designs that don’t take too long and potentially can be done with one needle, like a 7 Round Liner, so you don’t have to spend time switching out multiple needles for one tattoo.

With this design, we’ll start with three pumpkins with different kinds of faces that you can build off of and develop into your own style. The possibilities are endless – you could add a little Jason mask, Freddy hands, or really anything to do with Halloween.

Adding Details

For this article, we’ll add in some leaves using stamps available in Procreate and talk you through things to keep in mind as you work on your flash designs.

You’ll notice that we drew over the original stamps to add in details like the curved lines of pumpkins to make them look more realistic. You can also see that we added detail to the edges of the leaves to make them look a little more like they have fallen.

When you’re putting together your design, pay attention to the way the lines match up together so that your design makes sense and looks good as a whole.

Drawing is Important

To create good, quick flash designs, it’s really important to be able to draw and to practice drawing whenever you can. If you have a good grip on drawing, you’ll be able to crank out some good flash designs to sell during different holiday seasons and when business slows down a little.

Learning to draw can be tough and time-consuming, but it’s extremely important for being able to create realistic-looking designs.

Prepare for a Tattooing Career with the Artist Accelerator Program

Learning how to draw tattoo designs is an important step in your journey, but it can also be pretty eye-opening to how difficult tattooing can be. Without the right knowledge, it’s impossible to level up your skills and become a professional tattoo artist.

However, finding the straight-forward information you need to progress is difficult. And with so much out there online, it’s hard to avoid picking up bad habits from incorrect and outdated resources.

This is one of the biggest struggles new tattooers face, and too many talented artists have given up their goal of getting into tattooing because of the years it would take to unlearn their bad habits.

That’s why aspiring artists are learning to tattoo with the Artist Accelerator Program’s structured course. As a student, you learn every step of the tattooing process from professional artists with the experience and advice you need to build your skills and create incredible tattoos.

With the Artist Accelerator, you can stop wasting time searching through incorrect information. You just get the clear, easy-to-understand lessons you need to start improving fast… along with support and personalized feedback from professional artists in our online Mastermind group.
