Ah yeah I lost a lot of little details, but I’m just getting used to using procreate and my inking leaves a little to be desired lmao I was just happy with how my lines look. Thanks for the feed back!
I always use procreate myself, and always find it's a big risk of the work getting a bit impersonal ? I don't think there's anything wrong with your finished one, but it has just that lack of originality. As said - this is something I have problems with myself, and imo everyone working in procreate and such ?
I think you did a nice job...I'm with MalligaMallan though...digital always seems too clean to me. Love the first picture.
Very good job, but i think you could work back on the teeth, they look like rabbit teeth and they are way too straight.
Watch how it goes, therenare way more curves in teeth and perfect alignement make them look artificial.
Lastly, there are more teeth in a mourh, maybe you could stylize the "rear teeth" by a long block with some relief ?

Well, avoiding that means working over the density of the lines, little details here and there to create natural shapes (think of Disney's simplified characters), good shadowing and overall contrast, and composition.
The main problem with this piece is that it looks like a mechanical 3D sheet, computer produced.
It needs to be exagerated in some ways.
Imo, imho, my 2 cents, of course.

I was going more for a semi realistic stylized skull but don’t more like a traditional spit shaded style flash piece. I agree with MalligaMallan and Texas PT I always find my digital work to look too digital and I seem to rather get lost in the details and over render a small area or for lack of another way to put it make it look too clean almost copied and pasted. Thanks for the feed back from DKJ too I just wasn’t trying to do all that more just a small flash style piece to practice lining digitally as I found that has also helped steady my hand lining practice skin as well!

Here’s some older stuff, i tend to have much more control rendering with pencil, but I also love digital art as well. All of them I did for a Halloween daily draw a few years ago.

Guys, i'm sure there are ways to avoid or resolve this problem!
A first way would be to embrace the artsy technique and get a result on the skin looking like pencil.
Another way i can think of is, like i said above, to work little details to break the pattern, symetry and everything which looks mechanical.
I'm waiting for a new tablet pen and will make a thread about this very topic.
I think i've already wrote some stuff about it in an old thread, i'm not gonna lie : i've been struggling with that for ages and studying this problem.

Sure there are ways to solve this problem, but it's a process to get there! I would say about 103% of the people starting to use procreate falls in the Too Perfect Dead Result trap ?
My way to solve is to avoid using tools like "Smooth" and such. I use the different "regular" pens and pencils, just like I would on paper.
And yes, like you say - break the symmetry.
To me the best thing with procreate is the layers.
