I like this new style I gravitated towards. I think of it as a mix of neo Trad and.... My ever growing insanity.

Personal feedback:
The skull needs to be more 3d shaped. I don't know why and how, but it came out pretty 2 dimensional.

I don't know why, but I think the sketch is pretty empty. I would like to learn how to incorporate more objects and details in my stuff, without them losing their value and/or making them un-tattooable.

I've learned that laws are to be broken. I've tried to contain myself to the norm, the regular laws of certain styles for so long instead of saying fuck it and letting my mind run wild. This is the 2nd drawing I produced without caring about any complex laws (the only law I try to abide by is bold lines), and it's one of my favorite drawings so far.

I think maybe shading the eye sockets and nose will help to give it some depth. At the moment they look flat. Could you add some cracks on the skull to break up the space a bit?

Hmm I probably shouldn't say it, but it's all about honesty so here it goes...

I think the designs look a bit childish and very predictable. I don't think this is a new style at all to be honest. You probably think I'm a dick for saying this out loud, but sometimes it's better to use a reference to learn how to draw. The bits of dimension you tried to put in the designs are off, the shading is off etc. Throwing in random shades is not making things 3D because you didn't define a light source.

Hope I didn't discourage you to draw more, and it wasn't personal either!

Not at all dude. Cricism is always welcome, as long as it's constructive and not just "lol this sucks"
What I meant by new style is that I've never drawn so.. loosely, before? I guess? All of my previous drawings felt very mechanical - I followed a set number of rules that I would not break and they just turned out... As I've said, mechanical. I like them, dont get me wrong, but I like these more.

I get what you're saying, tho. I'll make sure to use a refrence the next time, even if I tinker with the object's properties when I actually draw it. (Also yea, i know I have some problems with shading lol. I'm still figuring it out)

Thank you!

I agree with balooka, however I find them most of all very hastily done. I think not using a grid is a good step - I would never use a grid. But you could work so much more on each motif. Now it feels a bit like you're spitting out drawings. I really liked some of the motifs you posted in the "One sketch a day" thread, and they also felt more worked on, even if still sort of minimalistic. Only a few lines can still be very elaborate. These here are definitely not ?
