@fylfot it's a sacred ancient technique... fill your moth with old stale coffee, mix it around a bit with your spit to get the right consistency and spray it over the painting. As you can imagine controlling the spray is actually pretty tricky
With this technique you blend using a clean wet brush and control the amount of water in the brush with your mouth. In the old day people used mostly their spit to blend with. This means you get some paint in your mouth. Previous generations didn't care but currently I think most people just wet the brush with water, suck out the excess moisture and call it spitshading. I guess modern spitshading should really be called Moisture Sucking
Looking good, I like the green to yellow fade in the leaves. NY tattooing is some of my favorite. I've gotta make my way to NYC to get tattooed by Smith Street.
